Jorvik Viking Museum

Wednesday August 20, 2014

Today was an awesome day. We went to the viking museum in Jorvik (pronounced Yorvick.) It is not a regular old museum where you just walk around and read signs. This place takes you back to the Viking ages. It does not smell that bad but is smells like vikings. Most of the museum is a ride. You get into a 6 person cart and the ride takes you through a whole Viking town with moving figures and the smell of a home cooked soup inside a home of an amber worker.

After the ride you can see many of the artifacts that the archaeologists discovered. There are three skeletons that they found and recreated the faces. It is a very interesting place and I want to come back!
