Beautiful gardens

photo 1-14We traveled to a beautiful manner, Brodsworth Hall. From the outside it looks like a noble home but it was actually built-in the 1860’s and no nobility was required to build this home.

Brodsworth Hall was a manner in WWII that housed soldiers while the family was still there. The government requisitioned the family to house soldiers in their home. The reason they choose this home was because it is stone, very large with over 30 rooms and had room for the soldiers to practice.

It is one of the only manors in England where all of the furniture is where the last lady of the house left it. Most of all the furniture is original.
