Tower Bridge

Tower Bridge

Approaching the Tower of London we were taken back with the massive display of poppies in the dry moat.  We learned that 888,246 ceramic poppies were on display…one poppy for each fallen English soldier in WWI. What a touching sight.

In front of Crown Jewels

Inside the Tower of London we visited the Crown Jewels, Royal Armory, saw Tower Ravens,  and where Anne Boleyn was kept before being beheaded by King Henry VIII.

The legend is that if  the Ravens leave the Tower the Tower will crumble.  So the seven resident Ravens have their wings clipped!
