It’s been a while since I have actually read a book that I’ve enjoyed. I finished this book in 4 days but it could have been one if I didn’t have to go to school! Everything Everything was one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. It was one of those books I couldn’t put down and would drag with me everywhere, hoping for a moment to read it.

Alert Spoilers Ahead!

Everything Everything is a book about a girl named Madeline Whittier, or Maddy as they call her. She has a disease called severe combined immunodeficiency or SCID for short. This makes it so she can’t go outside and has to remain indoors 24/7. Any thing out side could make her sick and die, and they don’t know what it is. So Madeline is 18 and she has never been outdoors. The only people she has ever known is her mom, her nurse and one teacher. She has had no other outside contact. Until someone moves in next-door. Olly. They start to talk by means of signs through the windows, then text, then IM. Then they meet and they fall in love. This is all new and exciting for Madeline. She is done with the “bubble” of the world she lives in and wants to be adventurous. She books a plane ticket…. to Hawaii!! Olly comes with her and they have the time of their lives. Until something happens and Maddy is forced to return home!

In the end Maddy finds out she doesn’t have SCID and that her life has been a lie and that it is all her mom’s doing! Her world has been turned upside down but it is only just beginning!!

I literally just put down this book and I can’t describe how much I loved it! Now I want to watch the movie so bad! If you read it, did you love too?! If you haven’t read it and I didn’t spoil enough for you to still want to read it, then read it! You have to put it on your reading list!

Let me know if you have any recommendations of what I should read next!
